Zoey Tallman lives a normal, somewhat boring life with her father, Hunter, and her stepmother, Ellen. However, just before her eighteenth birthday, Zoey starts to entertain a strange visitor... in her mind.

     The man calls himself Tanner Radnor, and claims to be from a magical world. Zoey, however, is sure that she's losing grip with reality... until her eighteenth birthday, when she is swept fully into that reality. 

     In this parallel universe, Zoey learns that she no longer ages, that she has magical abilities... and that there is a prophecy written about her, her future husband, and children.  Zoey and Tanner must learn all they can to save themselves and their magical community from a black magic society that will stop at nothing to keep the prophecy from coming true.
